Happy Halloween
Mao Ran | 2001 | 82 min. | Chinese subtitles
Synopsis:
The dialogs were filmed on Halloween in 2001 outside the Wonderland Bar. Nan, the owner of the bar, asked us to throw a rock and roll party. When it was heating up inside I went out to catch a breath. There in the cool autumn air were some folks chatting. All of a sudden I started filming them with my newly purchased SONY 100 DVCOM. Later I found the image was blurry because I’d never used a video camera before. Luckily the microphone worked and the voices were clear. I had no idea how to turn on a computer not to mention edit video but my friend Wenguang gave me the manual and took me through it step by step. After three months I finally finished this video.
