Who we are, what we do and why we do it
The construction of this website has been under way since April 2006. The founder of this website is pleased to have Mr. Wu Wenguang, one of most prestigious independent documentary filmmakers in China, as its curator. As an English language website, its purpose is to present the largest possible variety of China independent documentaries (here after CIDFAs) in form of archives; to provide researchers on CIDFAs as well as international film festivals and other interested agencies with an online platform to view documentary film productions and background info related to the films and their producers.

What we offer at the current stage
In current probational period, we are presenting only part of our collection of authorized documentaries, including the works of Wu Wenguang and some of the most recent productions of the new generation of China documentary filmmakers. These films were produced between 1990 and 2006. The website is scheduled to be officially launched in November-December 2006. Should you have any suggestions or comments, please feel free to drop us a line in the " Feedback" section.
