Synopsis:
My friend Lao Su got laid off. He was a video teacher, now he's staying at my place temporarily. Shi Lin is a teacher in the art department of the college where I teach, who often comes to my place to make IP card phone calls to his girlfriend far away in Guangzhou. Lao Su got a call from the marriage introduction agency saying there was a girl just right for him, from then on this late arriving love became his main relief and distraction with which to while away the time while waiting for work. For him, us passing on our experiences of relationships with women was the second most important thing in his life. Apart from calling his girlfriend, Shi Lin's spare time and energy was spent shooting birds with a rifle. Often both of them were round at my place cadging meals or a place to sleep, so I aimed my video camera at them, and also at myself, to record the story of we three men's lives during that time.
