Synopsis:
“The Other shore” records an arcane historical fact of salvaging dead bodies in some area of the Yellow River in a documentary and reflective way.
The Other Bank presents the comparison and contrast between two era and two motivations with the hope of illustrating people from different era’s specific search for value of life, and to demonstrate the symbolic meaning of “dam”.
The other bank is on the opposite side. On this bank, people alive could hardly be without thinking and care for the dead on the other bank. For those on the other shore having left this world, we hope people on this bank could show their attention to life.

Name: ZhouJiamin stage name: Zhou Yu
1981-born native of Gansu
1999 studying in Copenhagen, Denmark Television Arts College majoring in photography.
2001 home in the documentary film creation, the beginning of the documentary to study and explore.
Zhou Yu in 2002 founded the film studio.
Is now the curator, film, a documentary director.
